🌟 Martyn's May Update 🌟
As I write this on 13th May, it’s just 13°C outside. Today’s high reached 15°C, with temperatures expected to drop to 7°C overnight. We even had a hailstorm earlier - enough for many working from home to reach for the Hive app and put the heating back on. ❄️
Perhaps it’s a sign that it’s time to put the weather worries aside and head south in search of some sunshine. ☀
I’ll be travelling to Lisbon in mid-June, a city I’ve visited twice before and always enjoyed. It’s vibrant, full of character, offers wonderful areas to explore on foot, and being close to the sea, you also get that fresh ocean air. I booked through one of our partner operators, EasyJet Holidays, and for three nights in a 4-star hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, the total cost for two of us is around £1,500. 🇵🇹
A friend has also just booked a family holiday for four to Kefalonia for the last week of May at approximately £600 per person. The point I’m making is that there are still some excellent value holidays available. This is a fantastic time of year to enjoy some sunshine before the resorts become too busy. With air fares expected to rise over the coming months, now could be the ideal time to secure a package holiday with a deposit and have something to look forward to. 🇬🇷
Alongside our usual range of suppliers, don’t forget we also book EasyJet Holidays, Jet2 Holidays, and TUI. We also accept Jet2 Rain Cheques which can be purchased online and may provide additional savings. 💰
In other news, we continue to work on securing refunds for clients affected at the start of the Iran conflict. These are progressing through the system and we expect matters to be resolved soon. We also continue to assist clients in navigating any potential flight changes, helping to reduce stress and uncertainty during travel disruptions. ✈️
Finally, a reminder of the importance of adequate travel insurance. We still regularly hear from travellers who either do not have cover in place or only consider arranging it shortly before departure. Our advice remains the same - travel insurance should be arranged at the time of booking to ensure you are properly protected. 🙂
See you soon. 👋
