Sri Lanken curry at Barricane Beach Cafe is gorgeous in the sunshine & re-started this week for the 2025 holiday season - serving every night 5-7pm. Great food & then a super sunset walk back to Surf View.

We have some availability left for this year and we are taking bookings for 2026 💙🌊 🌅

We always have plenty of jobs to do at Surf View (in between the fun!) Any income we generate from renting out the house gets spent on the house to make it more lovely for our guests. The last fortnight included roof cleaning, drive way stone delivery, partial tarmac-ing of the lane & a new loo seat!!! Big thanks to the team! 💙🌊

As part of our two week stay we have enjoyed visiting The Combes Golf Park three times. Newly refurbished - It’s less than 10 minutes drive from Surf View with activities for all ages & delicious pizzas from La Tavola Pizzeria

Feast your eyes on our brand new mixed grill. 🤩🥩🍖

Enjoy 2 succulent lamb loin chops, juicy 8oz rump steak, a 10-inch Cumberland pork sausage, and savoury gammon steak. All perfectly grilled and served with crispy onion rings, fresh corn salad, and vine-ripened tomatoes.

After a busy couple of days at the Mortehoe Scarecrow Festival last week, we treated ourselves to a takeaway from Smokey Jones BBQ at Miss Fea's bistro in Mortehoe ... this is a photo of the delicious veggie box ... unfortunately no photo of the meat version as it was devoured too quickly! Smokey Jones is available on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5pm - 8pm (or until they sell out) - the menu changes weekly but is on display outside the bistro :-) No pre-orders ... just turn up!
