Here is the walking route from Colyton tram station back to Seaton.

After getting off the tram, leave the station on the opposite site to the cafe and gift shop. You will see a small foot path leading along the tracks to a builders yard/ car park. Exit this down on your right.
On the main road turn left walking along the main road for about 300m. Turn into the field on your right. Be aware of the cows.
Walk towards the bridge but do not cross it. Continue walking on this side of the river following the footpath.
Continue on until you come to a gate and then beat slightly left crossing under some pipework. Continue on the path along the river bank and enter a wooded area which has a nice picnic bench. Walk to the end of the path until you come onto the main road in Colyford with the White Hart Inn pub in front of you. Turn right here walking on the road until re-joining the footpath in 50m.
Walk up this road until turning left just before the post office. Continue on this road until you see the sign for the Wetlands on your left.
Walking through the Wetlands is clearly signposted enabling you to explore the area.

We have loved our walk and couldn't believe that there were no walking instructions on either end of the Tramway.
This walk is not accessible and leads you onto roads for very short periods.

Today we visited the Seaton Tramway which was really good. The family ticket (2ad/2ch) is £45 return and you can get off as many stops as you like to explore.
We bought one-way tickets as we like walking.
I will post the route in a separate post as there are no maps available and even staff was pretty uncertain about giving directions.
The tram passes along the river and through the wetlands.
The final stop is Colyton which is supposed to be very pretty. We gave it a miss as we wanted to get on the way trying to avoid the April showers.

We love going for hikes so this time we decided to return to Dartmoor and explore the Avon Dam Reservoir near South Brent.

What a beautiful easy hike from the carpark along a tarmac road to the Dam. This walk is perfect for wheelchair users although going uphill, prams, bikes and scooters.
The final bit up to the reservoir is no longer tarmac.
Beautifully serene.

We last visited Pennywell farm in 2021 after COVID.
3 years on our now nearly 6 year old had a brilliant day doing the Halloween activity trail, going on the train and tractor ride, playing in the numerous playgrounds and cuddling the animals which she had to work up to as we are not animal people.
As it was Halloween they also had a huge pumpkin field with live music and roasted marshmallows which was fab.

Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

We are back for the half term making more family memories.

With some exceptional weather we set off for a walk which ended up to be a 12km loop along the disused railway line, discovering the forest school, enjoying the Knowle village hall playground and back to Devon Cliffs along the coast path.

We ended a fulfilled day with dinner at South Beach
