I have used Fiona for the past two summers to organise a trip to South Africa and both trip were a complete success
I would definitely recommend Fiona if you are planning a long haul trip, especially to Africa
The first trip booked Summer 2025 was for a big birthday and to fulfill my dream of going on a safari
The trip was amazing, everything I could have wished for and beyond
Fiona helped figure out exactly what I wanted but also advised me on better options using her years of experience and knowledge of the area
She was also very considerate of our budget and booked places we would never have considered ourselves
It was truly magical
The second trip in Summer 2026 was very hectic and very unpredictable due to circumstances outwith our control but Fiona ensured everything went to plan
Our son was supposed to go on a school trip to South Africa and the plan was for us to join him for the latter part of his trip in Capetown
We were flying first to Mauritius
Just three days before he was supposed to fly his school trip was cancelled, meaning we had to make arrangements for him to join our trip which was still able to go ahead
It was a very stressful and uncertain 3 days for for us to determine if our 14 year old could join us on the same flights with numerous connections
across various countries (flights some of which were already fully booked) and the same hotels (where we required bigger rooms to accomodate 3 instead of 2)
Fiona and the team at Africa and beyond worked endlessly to ensure that he could join us on the same flights and same hotels
It was another successful trip, we had so much fun as a family and stayed in some lovely resorts and hotels
I honestly cannot thank them enough for ensuring our trip went ahead with our son
I think If i had booked independently we would not have managed this at all, and I would probably have just cancelled our own trip to Mauritius and Cape Town due to frustration and anxiety
Fiona and her team are experts in their field and I would 100% contact Fiona again for any long haul trip
