Whilst I love being out on the water in perfect summer sunshine, this is Cornwall… So I was very pleased that Kim and co wanted to come out with me again to visit the Heron Inn at Malpas for lunch, despite the less than ideal conditions. It was still a great trip, even if a slightly soggy one!

Great to finally get to take out to explore some different sites locally by boat. Shame the water conditions weren’t ideal with fairly poor visibility, as his underwater footage is usually incredible. But we plan to head out again soon to re-visit these spots and to try some other ones and I can’t wait to see his finished footage. We’re very lucky to have so many stunning locations to explore.

Nice to see a youngster enjoying boating so much. Emily loves helping out on the Mylor Yacht Harbour water taxi, has her own dinghy and is learning at Restronguet Sailing Club and regularly goes out with her family on their yacht Levity. But now she’s also got the bug for speed boats and will be doing her PBL2 license soon!

And a short reel on St Mawes and Place. Lots of interesting stories and history here. I’ve got no idea why I can’t find any vids of boating up the Percuil, which goes on for miles and is very beautiful. I’ll take some this coming season…!
