Rain stopped play at the Port Navas Regatta this year - which was a great result for us as it was re-arranged to the Sunday so we spent a lovely leisurely first day wandering down to watch the fun and games and enjoy the food & drink. We also visited for our last meal of the week & ate the delicious food at the Yatch Club - so lovely to have such a great place to eat at within walking distance, even if it is up hill on the way back!

After a week at Stable we’ve just left behind the messiest visitors - but the Swallows must love it here as they come back year after year and their chicks are very cute! On the warmest day we walked Jack down the shaded path to Bream Cove for a splash and back through the grounds of the Meudon Hotel, stopping for drink on the way.
A first for me was a visit to Casa Tapa in Falmouth - very yummy and dog friendly.
Summer is fully booked but Autumn days are quieter and perfect for exploring with dogs.

This just guide just needs editing a bit under the 'Where to Stay' part to say 'Stable Cottage' 😀 - it's a great location for everything mentioned.
We have just this week, w/c 20th April & w/c 18th May available before the Summer Season - when we still have good availability and will have up-graded the snug into a bedroom so Stable will be perfect for extended families. Scary Bridges and Scary Stiles for Jack today on our walk around Treviades and High Cross in the Cornish Mizzle, I think he much prefered Marizion Beach earlier in the week. Last night we visited the cosy Verdant Brewery Seafood Bar in Falmouth - our first visit, we'll definitely be back for my seafood fix now that I know it's dog friendly.

Another week of maintenance at Stable & another week of Jack having to sit & watch us eat at some of Falmouth’s great dog friendly restaurants - burgers at Hubbox, Poke bowls at Kona, cake at The Potager - but we didn’t neglect him & took him to his favourite cafe for an end of week treat - Life’s a Beach at Maenporth

Our lovely guests from last week sent me some beautiful pictures. We have good availability for Autumn & Winter, including half term & New Year (glasses on now & my bad grammar has just been corrected 🤦🏻‍♀️!).

We’ve had a lovely few days at Stable this summer making changes in the living room getting ready for cozy winter nights in front of the wood burner - & now 85” TV 🤷🏻‍♀️😱.(I didn’t really want it but secretly love it, the Euro’s speed climbing was great fun & I rarely sit and watch a film). We only caught the end of the heat wave but Jack kept his cool in the dog shower and chilling in the cool granite walled living room.
The geothermal pool at Penzance was lovely but the sea at Poldu also felt like a bath for our evening swim.
All Autumn weeks from 30th August still available.
