IF THERE IS ONE REASON I LOVE GREECE... IT’S THE FOOD! 🤤🇬🇷🧡

Let's be completely honest, half the joy of going on holiday is eating absolutely everything in sight, right?! While we were exploring Zakynthos, we made it our personal mission to sample as much local goodness as possible.

If you look through these photos, you'll see exactly why I am having major Greek food withdrawals back at my desk today! 👇

Here is a little taste of what fueled our family adventure:

🥞 Breakfast of Champions: Tons of the most gorgeous, fluffy pancakes and Greek Yoghurt with Honey and Fruit to start the day!

🧄 The Classics: Endless bowls of Tzatziki with warm pitta, and Gyros and Souvlaki on repeat.

🧀 Feta, Feta, and MORE Feta: We had it baked, crumbled on top of juicy fresh Greek salads, in deep fried balls with oranges and honey and my absolute favourite - wrapped in crispy filo pastry, drenched in honey, and sprinkled with sesame seeds!

🥘 Hearty Mains: Slow cooked Beef Kokkinisto, melt in the mouth Lamb Kleftiko, and deliciously creamy Chicken Spanaki.

🍟 The Sides: Platters of chicken wings and lots of perfectly cooked, salty fries!

🍕 The "Kids Menu" Reality: Because we are travelling with kids, there was obviously the mandatory allowance of holiday pizza and chicken nuggets to keep the peace! 😆

🍻 Liquid Sunshine: All of the above was washed down with plenty of ice-cold Mythos and Pils Hellas b**rs, plus a few cheeky holiday cocktails for good measure! 🍹

August is usually one of my quietest months in the travel world because everyone is already off enjoying their summer holidays, so I genuinely wasn't expecting this! Thank you all SO much for keeping me busy! 🙏

WHAT A TRIP!! WE ARE ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH ZAKYNTHOS! 🇬🇷🧡

Honestly, I am still amazed at how much quality family time and adventure we crammed into just 5 nights! We had the most genuinely incredible time staying at Roula Studios & Apartments - it truly felt like our home away from home, and even with scorching temperatures of 44°C, we made new friends and created memories we'll cherish forever! ☀️

Here’s a look at what we managed to fit into our quick escape:

🥙 Ate lots of Greek food: Having total Tzatziki withdrawals today, but the lovely Eleni gave me her recipe along with some homemade olive oil! 🫒

⛰️ Highland Adventures: Explored the highlands and found a gorgeous little taverna with incredible views!

🏄‍♀️ Brave Kiddos: The kids were super brave and absolutely loving life Stand-Up Paddleboarding at Porto Limnionas!

🐢 Caretta Caretta Boat Trip: Sailed to Marathonisi Island, swam in gorgeously blue waters right off the boat, saw turtle nesting sites, and enjoyed the sea breeze! 🛥️💦

🏖️ Alykes Beach: Chilled for a whole day on perfect, super-shallow sands!

🏊‍♀️ LOTS of pool time! (Absolute bliss in the sunshine!)

🐢 Spotted Mario & Sarah at Alykanas Marina!

🏛️ Town Strolls: Walked through Zakynthos Town, along the waterfront, and around Solomos Square!

☕️ My Absolute Favourite: Having my morning coffee with views of the hills, horses, hillside villas, and churches - I'm missing this view the most!

It was short, sweet, and pure perfection. I'm back home refreshed, recharged, and diving straight into your messages today! 💻

GREECE ROUND TWO IS HERE! 🇬🇷 ✈️ 🧡

I am heading back to Greece for the second time this year, but this time I’ve got my hubbie and the kiddos in tow! We are jetting off to Zakynthos, which is a completely brand new island for all of us, and we are so excited to explore! 🏖️🐢

I am going to be taking a well earned break and switching off for a week, but my inbox is still wide open for any new holiday enquiries - I’ll be diving straight into those as soon as I’m back home!

A MASSIVE THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE JULY! 🧡

Last July was very quiet for me, so I honestly wasn't expecting much this month - especially since I've already been off enjoying the summer holidays with the kiddos for the last two weeks! But wow, you guys have kept me steadily busy, and I am so incredibly grateful. 🥰

✨ Here is the absolute highlight for me:

⛺️🌊 A LITTLE SUMMER UPDATE FROM ME! 👋☀️

Can you believe the kids broke up 10 days ago already?! Time is absolutely flying, and it’s been a proper whirlwind over here!

Just a little reminder that even though I've been making the most of the summer holidays with the family, I am very much still around! 💼

Behind the scenes, I've been super busy:

🛫 Doing online check ins for everyone jetting off on their summer holidays
📑 Printing and posting paper documents for those who like everything in hand
🛠️ Managing booking amendments, admin, and keeping everything running smoothly
✈️ ...and squeezing in plenty of brand new quotes and exciting bookings for you lovely lot!

We've also managed to pack in some amazing family time! We just got back from a few nights camping in the New Forest with friends, plus a few fab day trips - including a lovely day out to Brighton a couple of days ago! 🍦🎡
