Have you thought about visiting Harwich Museum? The Harbour Ferry will get you there quick enough for you to visit both Harwich Museum and us at Felixstowe Museum in one day.

Harwich are open from Wednesday - Sunday, 10am, and currently have a special exhibit for 2026 highlighting the work of Trinity House, which was first incorporated by Henry VIII before becoming a vital part of the modern town.

We are delighted to welcome back Claire from Spinnaker Glass to The Beehive Cafe at Felixstowe Museum and shop. Gorgeous gifts and jewellery, those fish design trinket dishes are a perfect fit to our 'Beside the Seaside' exhibition.

Come and view Claire's work and that of other local artists on display in the cafe while enjoying a cafetiere of Suffolk blend coffee and a piece of cake. We look forward to welcoming you soon. Museum and cafe open Thurs to Sun, 11 to 5, last admission 4.

Is it a recipe for disaster on our high streets just waiting to happen?

We have just launched our new and refreshed food menu.

Instead of focusing on price increases, which let's face it, is an easy lever to pull. Even a Mcdonalds meal will set you back the best part of a tenner these days..

We have decided to keep our food prices broadly the same.

So what's changed?
We have added a few extra delicious options to our menu, which we think you will love but that are also easy on the input cost. A few new toppings to our baked potatoes, some additional salads options and a couple of cheeky side dishes like chunky chips.

We did have to discontinue a couple of bits that were causing us some waste (helping to save cost and helping the environment). You won't notice them gone we promise.

Oh and we listened to your feedback and we did a kids menu too. More about that later as they are at school until the weekend 🖍️

Anyway enough of the rambling.
Here when you need us, you know where to find us and if you don't, its your mission to find out. Your taste buds (and your wallet) will thank you 😬
