The Vernal Equinox, the first day if Spring.
Had the pleasant surprise of riding in rays of Spring sunshine with the legendary Micheal Read and indulging in something naughty at the coffee stop.

Micheal is now officially a 'Custard Dribbler'.

'Today at the Winter Olympics '

So yesterday was our final day in the mountains for the Olimpiadi Invernali del Milano- Cortina.
We had planned to go to Val di Fiemme for the combined ski jumping at Predazzo, but the weather had other ideas!
So we left the hotel and headed to Verona for a wobble, the Arena was out of bounds for mere mortals, so we took in the sights and sounds of this fair city and had a gelato .
A fantastic time spent with lovely people enjoying everything that the mountains have to offer.

Having survived Friday the 13th, we spent Valentines Day on the slopes of Monte Bondone.
Quite a productive day, considering the heavy snow and poor visibility. Ten miles over eight runs with 7974 ft elevation.
Great to finally get to ski with Anne Betts and Charles Mildred and the healthy lunchtime options.
