It is with great sadness that on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th December we had our final two trips. It's time for us to retire but not before thanking our many loyal followers for 12 years of fabulous holidays and day trips. Our thanks also to North Dorset Travel and our driver Paul, Freddi Colclough our office manager, Sam Hickson for all the beautiful brochures she has designed for us and to the many volunteers who have assisted us over the last 12 years. Here are some photos of the beautiful Bluebell SteamLights trip and our grand finale, a delicious carvery at the Haywain in Cadnam.

Yesterday Ferndown Community Tours went to the fabulous RHS Wisley Glow. It was so nice to walk around the gardens in the daylight prior to the beautiful lights being switched on. Thank you Paul from North Dorset Travel for getting us safely there and back.

Another great day out with Ferndown Community Tours. Paul, our North Dorset Travel driver, took us to Bishops Lydeard where we boarded a GWR steam train to Minehead. Paul was waiting there to drive us the short distance to Dunster where we were at leisure for 4 hours. Many of the group visited visited Dunster Castle which has sat at its commanding location since the Middle Ages. Others walked through the Dunster Secret Garden which contained some of the most beautiful dahlias imaginable. Others also visited the Priory Church of St George, which is a predominantly 15th century church with evidence of 12th and 13th century work. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building. Local shops and cafés also benefitted from our presence!!! A great day out with sunny weather!

Another great day out, this time in Devon. First we travelled to Seaton for a ride on the Seaton Tramway to Colyton where our coach picked us up for the short drive to the glorious Donkey Sanctuary. Once again we enjoyed lovely sunshine. As always, thanks to North Dorset Travel and our driver, Paul, for getting us safely there and back!

Another couple of great trips with Ferndown Community Tours! On the 24th July we visited Powderham Castle and enjoyed a cruise along the River Exe. Then on the 31st it was a lovely visit to The Vyne.

Coming up for the rest of August, we still have a few seats available for our trip to Kew Gardens next Wednesday 14 August £55.00. On Tues 20 it's John's Surprise day out £65.00 and on Wed 28 we have a day out in London for £30.00.

We're also delighted to advise you we have now secured Dec 17 as the date for the stunning Bluebell Steamlights trip. Sparkle, glow and shimmer on a magical steam train covered by thousands of colourful lights.
