CONTENTIOUS DOG POST.
I do not know much about dogs but I know 100% that this dog is very dangerous. I hope the owners see this and get a muzzle for that dog as someone may not be as lucky next time.
Today a Staffordshire bull terrier (I believe) went for my 6 year old daughter and frightened the living daylights out of me, her and my 9 year old. No apology was received from the owner at all. She wasn’t anywhere near it, we were just walking on grass to the bench you see me sat on in the photo here and dog shot off around 3 metres towards us and caught the owner by surprise. I swiftly grabbed my daughter and turned my back on the dog as any mother would but I know that things could have been very different. My daughter never even looked at this dog before this happened. It had a vest on saying “no petting” so it’s clearly done this before.
Five minutes later the same dog viciously went for an elderly lady, she tried to “run away” but fell over hurting herself quite badly with major cuts on her arm, she was covered in blood. I saw both incidents and was consoling the teenage granddaughter as she screamed “help, someone help us”, her Grandma was on the floor and couldn’t get up. The owner disappeared and left the elderly lady covered in blood without so much as an apology.
On Wednesday a dog peed on my daughter’s wet suit on the beach, I told the owners but again no apology.l!!
What the hell is wrong with people?
We had dogs knock our toddler over on the beach several times when she was younger and she had a phobia of dogs from being 18 months old to around 6 months ago. Today’s incident obviously hasn’t helped as it was terrifying.
The reason for this post is to ask that all dog owners consider whether their dog needs a muzzle? Also to ask that you please keep your dog on a lead and away from innocent people. A dog once peed on my daughters pram and the owner just laughed in my face.
I’ve had various dogs jump me and dirty my clothing which is completely unacceptable.
Let’s just say that the next time a dog urinates on my property, goes for my children or dirty’s my clothes I may not be able to control my reaction.
