📚 Seeking Old Copies of the Clogher Valley Magazine

We’re on the lookout for any old issues of the much‑loved Clogher Valley Magazine, a beautifully put‑together publication that celebrated local people, community stories, and the brighter side of life here.

We’re not entirely sure which years it ran, but it was definitely circulating in the early 90s (as shown in the image).

Our aim is to read, scan, and share any snippets of local history, especially anything connected to the Fivemiletown area, for the Fivemiletown History page. These magazines captured so many memories, and we’d love to help bring them back into the light.

If you have any copies tucked away that you’d be willing to lend or share, please get in touch with the page. All magazines will be handled with care and returned safely.

Let’s preserve a bit of our local story together.

Hi there. I’m trying to find out more about my family on my granddad’s side who I believe lived in five mile town. My surname is Carruth and any information would be really helpful.
My grandfather was William John Carruth born there we think and left age 4. Parents we think we’re William and not sure about my great grandmother. He had an older sister and younger brother called Rebecca and Victor. Victor was born in Dublin though so likely not known there.
