A little something to do when visiting Thornwick Bay this May. Not got a visit planned. We still have some availability. Get in touch.

Starting this Bank Holiday weekend and finishing at the end of May, just in time to make way for the fabulous Flower Pot Festival. Why not take up the RNLI Flamborough Challenge?
Can you find the 25 small wooden lifeboats hidden around the centre of the village, placed carefully in various windows. There is really only one not in the centre of the village and we are truly grateful to all the various business owners and residents who have kindly agreed to "host a boat" for the month of May
The Lifeboat Fundraising team are thrilled by all help they have been given by the community to create this simple free to participate trail. The amazing children from both Bempton & Flamborough Schools (& the staff too, we think!) Plus, Flamborough's Guides & both Bempton & Flamborough's Brownie packs (not forgetting their leaders/parents) who have between them painted the 25 boats so beautifully. Plus a couples of individual families too.
You can download the Trail Sheet, which gives you the number of each boat and the name of the station it represents. So all that is needed is to complete where you have seen a particular boat. If you prefer, you can collect a sheet from our wonderful Post Offices in the two villages (Flamborough & Bempton) or from the Lifeboat Shop which is now open 11 till 4.00pm daily, weather permitting. We hope to make sure the schools and Guiding Groups get copies too.
When a sheet is completed, with 25 locations and the following question is correctly answered
What does RNLI say you should do, if you find yourself in difficulty in the water?
Can you fill in the missing letters to make the words?
F - - -t to L- - - e
then please head to the Lifeboat Shop at South Landing to claim your medal and small gift.
Remember this is a free activity to enter, one we hope gives something back to our community, who do so much to support the incredible work of our volunteer crew and our Lifeboat Station
