Calling all young farmers (because we are all young at heart) and contractors. Do you drive around all week in your beloved tractor. This year we have a modern section for tractors, come and show them off and let people see your machine up close and personal.

Good Morning . The Cumbria Steam Gathering has an opening for any vintage enthusiast wanting to get more involved with the Steam Gathering , we need an Assistant Treasurer to work along side our current long standing Treasurer David Foster , full training will be given for any suitable applicant , Also we need an assistant Safety Officer, at the Steam Gathering , to work over the weekend with our Currant Safety Officer Lee Ellis , both these positions are voluntary , but i can assure you you will be part of a fantastic team of enthusiasts , some of which have been involved for 40 plus years and have become great life long friends , as with all things the more you put in , the more you get out , we do have some really good times . ( And some headaches ) but its all good fun , ( Sense of Humour essential )

Well after 50 years of the Cumbria Steam Gathering , 2026 will as you know be going ahead on 25th and 26th July at Cark Airfield Flookburgh, but this year with no official programmes, long standing committee members John and Margaret Bateman have decided to step down from the rally committee and they have been responsible for our excellent programme for many years, so we have decided not to produce a programme this year, the decision is also a financial one as these programmes are expensive to produce and most years we loose money on them , we hope you understand our reasons for this and hope it doesn't spoil the event for you all ,Thanks again to the Batemans for all your hard work over the years
