This honesty box was a gift made for me by my husband during lockdown. It moved house when we did, and still sells the tastiest eggs from our free ranging chickens! Nowadays it often sells quail eggs too and homemade blackberry jam. What other goodies would you like to see in our honesty box? I would love to know! ⬇️Comment below!⬇️

Apparently these Fly Agaric Toadstools (better known as Fairytale Toadstools in our house), are highly hallucinogenic. Perhaps that is why Fairies are often reported in the same location, or perhaps the clever Fairies know this and use it to their advantage! Either way, look, but don’t touch, and keep an eye out for the little winged creatures.

It’s been a christmassy weekend, with the Fordingbridge Christmas lights switch on, the Village Christmas fair, festive storytelling in the Cranborne Earthouse (thank you ) and the wonderful Panto in the pub at the newly refurbished . There is always so much to do around here at this time of year! We still have availability this New Year in case you fancy a winter escape to the forest 🌳

At last the window seat is covered! I got out my (rather dusty) sewing machine and decided to have a go and I’m really pleased with the result! One more job ticked off the never ending list! 🎉

Blue Hydrangea!! I’ve always longed for one of these, and now we own one, and this year they are in fine bloom. I tried the old ‘boiling water trick’ to help them last, and so far day 3 and still looking fresh and they feel nice and springy, hurrah!
