No.4 is a very spacious two bedroom apartment, king size double and twin room, both bedrooms are upstairs. Large bathroom with powerful shower and roll top bath. Large fully fitted kitchen, cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave etc. Large living room with 32" TV/DVD player with sound bar and sub woofer. A selection of books and DVD's. Wood burning stove just to cosy it up even more on the cold winter nights.

This place is one of those rentals you will never forget. It looks hundreds of years old on the outside and is thoroughly modern on the inside. Such a great renovation while preserving the historic look at the same time. Chris and Felicity are friendly hosts and we enjoyed several interesting conversations. We had the two bedroom place in mid April of 2023. Access to the apartment is via steps at the rear of the convent. Both bedrooms are upstairs and the one bathroom is downstairs. That did not bother us, but may be an issue for some. The kitchen is stocked with all you need and there is a small supermarket in town. The TV works great and so does the WiFi. The hosts are knowledgeable about the area and gave us candid recommendations for dining, hiking, and whatnot. We would be ecstatic to have the opportunity to stay here again.

Great! Excellent! Great!
Wow! Beautiful! Very nice hosts! On-site parking. apartment Fully equipped. Fireplace in the living room ☹️ If you are close, book this place! Definitely one of the best accommodations in the Highlands and Loch Ness!

Stunning

We arrived late on the 29th Apr to a welcome from Felicity , the apartment was homely and comfortable .The pictures on their website do not do it justice . Well equipped kitchen with all you need .Bedroom very large and comfortable bed. The work gone into the conversion of the Convent by Felicity & Chris is amazing . The Convent is only a short walk from Loch Ness & the Caledonian canal with its 5 locks & swing bridge. We would highly recommend The Old Convent & we will be returning.

Wonderful apartment, 10 out of 10 - spotless with everything we needed for our stay. lovely apartment, great views, lovely location, a short 10 minute walk to the centre. The nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen in the UK 😃.

Motorcycle Touring holiday in Highlands - found this little gem
Beautiful apartment in an old convent building oozing character. Attention to detail throughout amazing. Lovely hosts who were attentive but not intrusive. A real home from home in a super location close to the town - can thoroughly recommend.

A truly marvellous experience we will all remember - cannot recommend highly enough!
Really the last word in luxury self catering. Stunning restoration, and outstanding attention to detail. Bathroom with roll top bath and exposed stone wall is a pleasure to be in. Any spotless beyond belief throughout. Helpful friendly hosts, there to help when needed but never 'in your face'. I would run out of superlatives about this place!
It is perfect. Best equipped kitchen ever. I would defy anyone to find fault with the Old Convent, it is a joy to stay in, and Fort Augustus is just the loveliest place.

No. 4 The Old Convent has been beautifully restored and was warm and cosy. It is on the main road but you wouldn’t know as it’s so quiet and peaceful. It is spacious, very tastefully furnished with a lovely bathroom with roll top bath, a huge bedroom and a log burner and we would highly recommend it. It’s one of the nicest holiday rentals we’ve stayed in.

I can’t express how much we are enjoying our stay here! The building and accommodation is absolutely stunning and it is clear a lot of love and care has been taken in every aspect. The apartment was perfect, everything you would want and need, plus so much more! The owners are wonderful, brilliant company and incredibly friendly. A must stay for anyone visiting this beautiful part of the world!
