We're incredibly proud of the Cruise Loch Ness team following Sunday's rescue of canoeists who got into difficulty on Loch Ness. Four canoeists were brought safely aboard a Cruise Loch Ness vessel after their canoes capsized in changing conditions on the loch.
While the article highlights the rescue itself, it only tells part of the story.
The crew onboard reacted quickly and professionally to bring those in the water to safety, but the response didn't stop there. Behind the scenes, our shore-side team immediately coordinated communications with the emergency services and supported the ongoing response.
Once everyone was safely ashore, staff rallied round to help. Team members donated clothing, helped source accommodation and made sure those affected were warm, comfortable and looked after following what must have been a very difficult and distressing experience.
Whether on the vessel, in the office or supporting from the shore, our team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, compassion and professionalism throughout.
We would also like to thank RNLI Loch Ness, HM coastguard and all the emergency service personnel involved. Working together ensured a positive outcome for everyone affected. The article notes that Cruise Loch Ness assisted alongside HM Coastguard and RNLI during the rescue effort.
