Some of the best places near Frinton aren’t the obvious ones.

Over the years, guests at Sea View Cottage have shared some lovely little finds with me - places that often end up being the unexpected highlight of their stay.

So I’ve pulled together a few hidden gems nearby, including East Coast Distillery, Mistley & Manningtree, Beth Chatto Gardens and Hastys Adventure Farm 🌿

A little garden upgrade for sunny afternoons at Sea View Cottage ☀️

The new patio set has arrived, and it’s already become the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch, an evening drink, reading your holiday book or simply sitting back and watching the dogs or kids enjoy the garden after a day on the beach.

July is one of my favourite times in Frinton. Warm sea air, quieter mornings, long evenings and plenty of space to properly switch off.
