“We thoroughly enjoyed staying at "The Nook". The beds were very comfortable as was the lounge seating. Every room had the mod cons that gives the cottage that home from home appeal. There is plenty of outside seating and tables which we were lucky enough to enjoy on a couple of sunny afternoons. Despite it being in a very quiet location off the main tourist roads just inside the National Park, there are plenty of things to do and see locally with good pubs and cafes within walking distance. If you like the hustle and bustle of lakeside towns, then Keswick is just half an hours drive away. All in all, an excellent holiday venue.”

New 5 star review just in for The Stables! 🌟

“We loved it! Very thoughtful to have the basics waiting for our arrival (eggs, bread, milk) thank you so much for that. We had the best time, we would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. It was in a quiet location but not too far away from things we wanted to do. The house was lovely had everything we needed.”

The Stables is a lovely self-catering cottage sleeping 6 people and 1 lucky dog, in the beautiful Ennerdale valley in the Lake District. 💕

Renovated to a high standard, it’s located on a quiet rural road just west of Ennerdale Water.

There’s a great local pub and community coffee shop a short walk away in Ennerdale Village. 🍺 ☕️

It’s a beautiful place to relax, rest and get away from it all. The views stretch for miles over open countryside and the Lake District fells and there are walks galore on the doorstep! 🥾🥾

“The Nook is a wonderful place to stay. It’s so peaceful and tranquil. The accommodation is fantastic and everything you need to cook and prepare a meal is provided. The rooms are really spacious and it was so lovely to have proper, comfortable sofas to sit on! Wifi was available. If we are in the area again we would definitely look to book The Nook again!”
