Great news today, as a red has been spotted on the camera set up by the West Lakes Squirrel Initiative. This is in the paddock that all of our properties look out onto. The WLSI work hard at monitoring red activity and reducing grey activity, as they are a threat to the lovely little reds. Perhaps you will see this little chap when you visit🐿🌰🐿🌰

Summer may be gone (if it ever arrived) but autumn is just as beautiful in the Lakes, especially with the changing colours of autumn. Keswick is around a half an hour drive away, why not visit when you stay with us and enjoy one of these walks to see the Lakes in it’s full autumnal beauty🍁🍂🍁🍂

Finally all ready for the first guests! We really hope they like it. The Den will be available on booking.com this weekend and is a great place to congregate with friends who are also staying with us in the Nest and/or Drey. Perfect if you want to have a catch up but also want your own space. It has a much larger living space and a super king size bed which can also be set up as 2 singles. The paddock is a lovely place to sit and watch the wildlife and listen to the birdsong as you share and make memories with friends and family❤️

Our largest property is nearly ready for our guests on Saturday. The Den is themed on the woodland animals we see here and named after their homes. Look out for it soon on booking.com. It can be hired with our other two properties, the Nest and the Drey to accommodate 6 adults and up to 4 children (depending on age). The old Stables has a lovely paddock area to relax and enjoy the sun in (when we get the weather😂).

We have just said goodbye to our first return guests at The Nest who say they will be back again❤️it makes us so happy when we know our guests are happy.
