Here's some more info about the Music and Dance Play Spaces
They are about play, connection, exploration and having fun - and following the children's lead.
We will create wonderful improvised sound pieces together, and for those that want to (movement as well).
There will also be space for those that want to, to speak about what touches us, how what we create makes us feel and the stories and images they make us think of.
The sessions start with a welcoming, a gentle exploration of making sounds with lovely instruments that I've gathered from all over the world on my travels.
It ends up with children & grown-ups making really great pieces of music together. (that’s not the aim, but that happens over and over!!!)
These Music Play sessions are for everyone.
(They are not about having to perform something I’m going to teach you.)
You really (really!!!) don’t need to have experience as a musician - though if you are, you’ll likely to learn something, probably a lot!)
So, if you’re interested in playing some music, or going on a wonderful adventure with sound, do come along.
If you have been thinking you aren’t musical, (or maybe secretly wanting to make music for a while, but haven’t yet) this is also, very much, the place for you; (sometimes too, people like to simply listen and watch.)
