Across the UK, more growers are proving that oilseed r**e sown in early to mid-September can establish successfully and deliver competitive yields.

On-farm results continue to support this approach, with many reported successes from crops drilled during the first half of September. One standout example is the recent world-record yield achieved in the Lincolnshire Wolds. By emerging in mid to late September, these crops can often miss the peak cabbage stem flea beetle migration while still delivering gross margins comparable to some of the highest-performing crops on farm.
