We love a return customer!

Laura and her husband came on a tour with us last year in September 2023, and returned with their sons last week for a second look around the city! They made the best of their trip despite the weather, and we were to happy to show our guests new and old the sights.

We truly enjoy providing a memorable experience for our guests, and it is endlessly appreciated.

Book a tour to see the city with us, whether this is your first time in Glasgow or your third 😉

NEW VIDEO SERIES LAUNCH!

We're kicking off something special here at Gallus Pedals — a new series where you get to meet the amazing guides who make our tours unforgettable!

First up is Stuart, one of our newest team members who's already impressing groups and racking up ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews! From historic tales to local secrets, Stuart brings top energy and passion to every ride.

Watch the full video to get to know Stuart a little better, and keep an eye out for him on our tours!

This is just one of the ways we're celebrating the brilliant work our guides do; they’re the heart of everything we do.

Interview:

Interviewer: Can you introduce yourself for us?

TG: Yeah. So my name is Stuart. I grew up in a town on the outskirts of Glasgow called Hamilton. So I've spent a lot of my life in and around Glasgow. I love being Glaswegian and getting to show people around.

I: Amazing. And what's your favourite part about being a tour guide?

TG: Oh, the best part is definitely meeting people from all different places and getting to know them, and just having a fun day cycling around the city. And yeah, just showing them parts of Glasgow they probably wouldn't see.

I: And what is your favourite stop on the tour?

TG: My favourite stop on the tour is Kelvingrove Park, where you see the museum and the university, and you cycle up Kelvin Way. I think its the most beautiful part of the city.

I: Its pretty scenic, good choice. And is there any place you would recommend for a tourist to go visit?

TG: I definitely recommend the Necropolis on the East End of the city. And if you're over that way, the Barrowlands Market. Go to the Barras. Really cool Glaswegian experience.

I: Amazing, thank you so much!

A new mural featuring Mary Barbour has been unveiled in Govan.

The mural features a modern-day interpretation of her image and her legacy as an activist, a message as relevant today as it was in her time.

The mural was done by the international artist Jeks in collaboration with Yardworks, who has worked on other murals in Glasgow.

The mural marks the second monument dedicated to Mary Barbour in Govan, where she led rent strikes in 1915. A statue commemorating her work can be found at Govan Cross.

We're proud to have named one of our bikes after her and to keep her legacy alive on our tours! To find out more about her, read our blog post dedicated to her, which was written for us by the Glasgow Women's Library.

Next up in our tour stop series, we are showcasing the beautiful Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum and its surrounding green spaces.

Home to a number of art masterpieces and exhibition collections, it is easy to see why the museum is one of Scotland's most popular museum attraction!

It is another one of our most popular stops, where we have the chance of cycling around Kelvingrove Park and up Kelvin Way for some scenic photo stops and views of the West End.

Book a tour with us and leave your exploration of the area to us, giving you more time to soak in the city at your pace 😉

Today we celebrate a trailblazer from our hometown — Dorothea Chalmers Smith!

Born on this day, Dorothea wasn’t just a doctor — she was a fierce suffragette who stood up for women’s rights right here in Glasgow. Arrested for her activism, she never backed down.

To honour her legacy, we named one of our bikes Dorothea — a symbol of resistance, resilience, and leading the way forward.

Next time you’re cycling down Kelvin Way, look out for the Suffrage Oak planted over a century ago — a living tribute to the movement she helped shape and the freedom we ride with today.

Check out our blog post on Dorothea for more information about her life, written for us by the wonderful Glasgow Women's Library.
