Where will you find some of the best winter sunshine this year? ☀️

As the evenings start drawing in, my attention always turns to the Far East and the Indian Ocean.

🥶 Because while we are reaching for coats and switching the heating on, some of the world’s most exciting destinations are entering their best season.

🇹🇭 Thailand
Think Bangkok rooftops and brilliant street food, beautiful hotels, jungle adventures and islands where winter means warm seas and blue skies.

🇲🇾 Malaysia
One of my favourites for travellers who want variety. Kuala Lumpur, rainforest, incredible food and beautiful beaches can all feature in one trip.

🇻🇳 Vietnam and Cambodia
A wonderful pairing if you want your sunshine with plenty of culture. Cities, temples, fantastic food, beautiful landscapes and time on the coast.

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka
Tea country, wildlife, boutique hotels, ancient cities and beaches. A brilliant choice if lying beside a pool for two weeks simply is not enough for you.

🇲🇻 The Maldives
Still one of the ultimate winter escapes. And there is far more choice than you might imagine, from intimate barefoot islands to exceptional family resorts and two island combinations.

🇲🇺 Mauritius
Beautiful beaches, excellent hotels, mountains, waterfalls, golf and plenty to explore beyond your resort. Particularly lovely for couples and families wanting winter warmth with a little more to do.

And then there is Australia 🇦🇺

If you have ever thought Australia is simply too far for a family holiday, Easter 2027 could be the time to reconsider it.

Australia works brilliantly when you treat the journey as part of the holiday and choose two or three places rather than trying to see everything.

Sydney followed by the Gold Coast. Melbourne with the Great Ocean Road. Queensland with the Great Barrier Reef. Or perhaps a completely different adventure in Western Australia.

For families with older children and teenagers especially, it can be an incredible trip. Wildlife, beaches, cities, surfing, snorkelling, outdoor adventures and experiences you will still be talking about years later.

And with Easter 2027 getting closer, now is the time I would be planning it rather than waiting until next year.

So, if escaping the British winter is on your mind, where would you choose?

I actually can’t believe this adventure is really happening! 🇱🇰

In exactly four weeks time I’ll be heading to Sri Lanka with this fabulous group of women on a trip I’ve created and will be hosting with Laura Maginess and Glasglow Girls Club.

Last night we all met for the first time at Kochchi in Glasgow for a real taste of Sri Lanka and it was such a lovely evening. Lots of chat, laughter and excitement and it suddenly made everything we’ve been planning for the past year feel very real!

Creating and hosting a trip like this has always been something I’ve wanted to do. There has been so much work behind the scenes, working with my incredible partner in Sri Lanka finding the right hotels and experiences to planning the route, and all those little details that I hope will make the trip really special.

And what an adventure we have ahead of us. Elephants in the wild, Sri Lanka’s beautiful tea country, the train to Ella, cooking with local women, sunrise at Little Adam’s Peak and finally a few days relaxing beside the Indian Ocean. 🇱🇰

What makes it even more special is that these women said YES! 🙌

Some are travelling without knowing anyone else in the group, but they all wanted to experience Sri Lanka and loved the idea of doing it together.

A huge thank you to Myte & Boo for the gorgeous travel wallets and notebooks for our ladies too. They were such a lovely surprise last night and will definitely be travelling around Sri Lanka with us!

And thank you to Laura and Glasgow Girls Club for trusting me to create and lead our very first GGC adventure.

Four weeks to go and the excitement is definitely building. I can’t wait to share the adventure with you as we go. ❤️🇱🇰

🏎️ Another Grand Prix package finalised and this time my clients are off to Monza! 🇮🇹

Monza is one of the most iconic circuits in the calendar, with all the history and passion of Italian motorsport, plus the opportunity to make a fantastic Italian break out of it too.

It got me thinking about my last experience at Zandvoort.

I went to the Dutch Grand Prix in 2024 and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was incredible, with a sea of orange everywhere, and it is such a shame that this weekend will be Zandvoort’s last time.

But that is also the exciting thing about motorsport. There are so many incredible races around the world to experience and the 2027 calendar is already out, so you can start planning now.

And I can arrange far more than just your tickets.

🇸🇬 Imagine Singapore, watching the racing under the city lights before cocktails overlooking Marina Bay and a few days discovering one of Asia’s most exciting cities.

🏁 And then there are Austin, Montréal, Barcelona, Budapest, Abu Dhabi and São Paulo. So many brilliant cities and destinations where the race can be just one part of the trip.

Hey everyone how’s your week been? It’s been a busy one for me, with lots going on both at work and at home, and I can’t believe Friday has arrived already!😊

There’s been a lovely mix of bookings and enquiries on my desk this week, so thank you for keeping me busy!

☀️ I’ve booked a lovely couple a winter sunshine escape to Mexico, staying at a gorgeous adults only, suite only resort. A week of luxury, sunshine, fabulous food and plenty of golf. I think that sounds like a pretty good way to escape our winter!

🇦🇺 I’ve also booked a three week family adventure Down Under, combining Sydney and the Gold Coast giving them the excitement of the city followed by plenty of sunshine and beach time.

Australia is such a fantastic family holiday. There’s so much variety and it’s incredibly easy to fill your days with experiences everyone will enjoy. Beaches, wildlife, outdoor adventures, iconic sights, great food and that wonderful Australian lifestyle.

🇱🇰 And I’ve been busy working on a new enquiry for a family looking to spend Christmas and New Year in Sri Lanka. I love planning Sri Lanka because you can create such a varied family adventure with culture, wildlife, beautiful scenery, incredible food and some gorgeous beach time at the end.

Away from work, it’s been a pretty special week for our family too.

🏡 I’ve spent lots of time in between work helping my son move into his first home. A very exciting milestone and definitely a proud mum moment! A big thank you to Jennifer McKenna - AP Wealth too for finding him a great first time buyer mortgage and helping him get to this point 🙏

🌘 And of course, I had to make time to watch the eclipse! I had a pretty good sighting down south. Did anyone else watch it? Let’s see your photos! Feel free to put them in the chat.

And now I’m really looking forward to the weekend because my sister and niece are over from Australia, so it’s going to be all about family time and catching up ❤️
