Just behind the Ben Lomond Ranger Station you find the wonderful kid friendly walk called the Hidden History Trail. It has had a few upgrades over the last year and provides stunning views of Loch Lomond.

Today was the longest hike we’ve done in years. Kerrera island loop with a few extras. Clan Macdougall castle had spectacular views. It’s an hike with a lot of up and down hills and a rocky road. Visited with Sheep and lambs, bunnies and a goat along the way and even a dog named teddy joined us part way (until he was pooped out).

A birthday hike for Mike. Ballachulish Quarry hike takes you up a steep incline and through beautiful forest trails. Views of the Loch and village were stunning. We will return.

A recent hike up the devils staircase in Glencoe on a chilly winters day. Views did not disappoint! We continued on beyond the cairns for a look at the reservoir. It has been almost 13 years since I did this hike as part of the West Highland Way. It was pouring that day!

Took an Autumn hike up to Sutherland’s Gove today. Stunning views with leaves on the paths. It was just beautiful to see the fall colors and experience no wind which made for exceptional photos of the reservoir.

Although a short hike, there is a 325 foot climb on the most strenous of the 3 available walks at Sutherland’s Grove near Barcaldine. Beautiful waterfalls in the gorge, Douglas fir trees, and lots of great spots for camping or a picnic.

Views from half and then 855 feet up Beinn Lora on the West Coast of Scotland. Quite windy so not very clear photos. We will return and do the full hike on a warmer clearer day. (4 miles; 1050 feet).
