Once upon a time (a very long time ago) a young Austrian Canadian moved to Marne la Vallée for her first paid job in Disney village on a pursuit to learn French to pass her exam and finish college. 😅 honestly, this place has not changed a lot, still the same and yet different at the same time. Serris, Val d’Europe, Disney, heck, the whole Marne la vallée, Paris and even France will forever be a place I hold true to my heart. So grateful to have been able to experience this not once but a couple of times and will always look forward to coming back over and over again ☺️

Serris is home to Val d’Europe and la vallée village, which boasts a number of wonderful luxury boutiques, sea life and a massive shopping centre for anything you possibly could need. Located only 5 minutes from Disney and directly on the RER line A which goes directly to Paris it is easily accessible as well. At this pointI simply must mention LANCEL my all time favourite handbag, something different and unique (the ultimate bucket bag) 🥰

We decided to stay Dream Castle Hotel which is designed in a lovely fairy tale style with a wonderful poolside which is transformed into a summer party on a Friday night (hint hint) 😉 with a shuttle every 10-15-20 minutes and only 3 stops from disney again it is easily accessible.

The thing I love about going out and exploring the country you actually live in is that you come across things right on your doorstep you never even knew existed! Sometimes it’s not necessary to travel far to spend a beautiful day on an amazing beach and feed your hunger for culture with a visit to a nearby castle 😊 the best thing about a Scottish beach is the ideal temperature and lack of crowds, just you and nature, the sound of the waves crashing on the sand and the soft breeze on your face to cool the warm summer sun 🌞 Culzean Castle & Country Park NTS

After a couple of days in vietri sul mare it was time to make our way to Ravello, where we were to celebrate the beautiful wedding of our beautiful friends 🥰 having taken the sea route the other day we were more than happy to take the mountain route (got to really see everything this way) and enjoy the lovely scenery of Mt Vesuvius in the background and then the stunning views of Ravello itself

Ok, small disclaimer: day 2 involved a lot of driving! Being located on the other side and near Salerno with only 1 day left before moving on to our ne t location we had a decision to make: visit Drive along the coast until we reach the place we reached last time from the other side to complete the route (probably not really necessary but hey, why not?) or visit Salerno and drive the route the next day. So, while doing a search for the best way to get to x I came across a funny piece of information: in Italy on the Amalfi coast, depending on your license plate, there is the chance that you may not be able to drive along the coast without being fined and should take the mountain route instead! I couldn’t believe it so I asked at the reception and it actually is true. That solved that problem, a drive along the coast it was! Me being me though didn’t want to miss out on Salerno either, so what did we do? Both of course! 😅 Lunch in and dinner in Salerno. Problem solved and no regrets or FOMO for me 😅

I know I’ve not been keeping on top of my posts but it’s been sooooo crazy! I always get to it in the end though, so here we are: day 1 - Vietri sul Mare.

Vietri sul Mare is the very first town on the eastern side of the Amalfi Coast and the closest to the city of Salerno, known as the gateway to the Amalfi coast, or la prima Perla (the first pearl). It is a gorgeous, quiet little town that is famous worldwide for its handcrafted ceramics.

… and that is making the most of every single second starting right at arrival! ✈️🇮🇹🥰

I love a nice resort, but a destination trip is truly what I live for and Vietri sul Mare on the Amalfi Coast did much more than deliver! 🌟🌊

Vietri sul Mare is the very first town on the eastern side of the Amalfi Coast and the closest to the city of Salerno, known as the gateway to the Amalfi coast, or la prima Perla (the first pearl). It is a gorgeous, quiet little town that is famous worldwide for its handcrafted ceramics.

My first 24 hours consisted of:
🍴A visit to the airport lounge to set the mood for the trip ahead
🌙 A late-night walk straight after arrival discovering the ceramic decorations hidden all over this charming village (sleep can wait 😅)
🌅 Waking up to breathtaking views
🥐 An amazing breakfast featuring delicious fresh selections, mimosas, and handmade cannoli right then and there 🤤
🏊‍♀️ A relaxing morning by a pool to die for (my luxury wellness hotel also featured a full spa but it being my first visit I simply couldn’t resist exploring as much as possible 😅)
🚐 Taking a shuttle to the town for some more local exploration, retail therapy, a cool down at the beach and delicious pizza

Watching the sunrise over the breathtaking amalfi coast ❤️

Somehow managed to spend three days without catching the sun rise or set, which is pretty unusual for me but luckily an early departure can sometimes be a great thing! Goes to show that it’s all about perspective. You’re in control of how your day will go, just always look at the bright side 😊
