St Cuthbert’s Way has just been named one of Lonely Planet’s 50 best travel experiences for 2027! 🥾🎉

And if you’ve ever walked it, you’ll know why! 😍

Starting in Melrose in the Scottish Borders, this 100km (62-mile) trail winds through beautiful countryside, rolling hills and historic villages before finishing on the magical Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland.

Meet Cara, one of our Sales Managers. She recently rode our Oxford to Bath cycling itinerary, and her first night was spent somewhere quite unexpected: inside Keble College, Oxford. 🚲

The wooden doors swung shut behind her, and the city's noise fell away. A porter handed over a key. Beyond the lodge, the quads glowed honey-gold in the evening light, quiet now the students had gone for the summer.

By morning, she was eating breakfast in one of the longest dining halls in the University, beneath a Victorian hammer-beam roof and rows of watchful portraits. So she got chatting to the people who know the college best.

What does Leah remember most from walking the Camino? 💭

As she reflects on walking the final stage of the Camino Francés from Sarria to Santiago, Leah realized it was about so much more than the miles.

It was music drifting through towns, stories shared between strangers, and those little moments of humanity that make the Camino unlike anywhere else.

There was something about the atmosphere that’s hard to put into words. You set out to walk the Camino, but it’s the people you meet and the moments you don’t plan for that stay with you. 💛

Sarah flew from Colorado to the UK to do something she’d never done before: hike solo. 🥾

Understandably, the nerves were definitely there. But as she set off along the South West Coast Path from St Ives to Penzance, Sarah quickly discovered that walking alone doesn’t mean feeling alone.

Along the way, she met fellow hikers, shared conversations on the trail, and found little moments of kindness and connection when she least expected them. There were plenty of moments that made her laugh, too. Getting stung by nettles, falling in the mud, and excitedly spotting what she thought was a seal… only to realize it was a diver. 😂

Then there was the scenery. From the rugged beauty of Zennor Head to mile after mile of Cornwall’s coastline, Sarah found herself completely at home on the trail. 🌊

She set off unsure about hiking solo. By the time she reached Penzance, she had just one question: when can I do this again?

This might just be one of our favorite hiking itineraries ever. 🏔️
Picture this...
Waking up at a cozy chalet-style hotel, grabbing a delicious breakfast, then heading out into the Alps. You’re hiking through alpine meadows, hearing cowbells in the distance, passing crystal-clear lakes and looking up at the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. By the end of the day, you’ve arrived in another beautiful Swiss village. Time for some raclette, rösti or fondue before doing it all over again tomorrow.

Yep, this is inn-to-inn hiking at its best.
