Dear customer,
After thirteen years of providing coach holidays across the UK and beyond, it is with great sadness that we announce that Eclipse Breaks Limited has made the difficult decision to cease trading its coach tour business.
This decision follows a sustained period of rising operating costs, together with the continuing impact of the cost-of-living crisis on consumer spending. Despite our best efforts to manage these challenges, the Directors have concluded that continuing to trade is no longer sustainable. There will be no tours departing from 06 Oct 2026 onwards.
A petition for the winding up of Eclipse Breaks Limited, and the appointment of a Liquidator, has been presented to Glasgow Sheriff Court. We anticipate that a Liquidator will shortly be appointed, and will be in contact with the company’s creditors once their appointment has been confirmed by the Court.
Rest assured customer monies relating to protected bookings are covered by our Financial Failure Insurance arrangements in accordance with the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. All affected customers are currently being written to with full details.
Our Financial Failure Insurance policy is managed by TMU Management Limited and underwritten by Accelerant Insurance Europe SA, which is regulated by the Financial Services and Markets Authority (3193).
Affected suppliers will be contacted by the liquidator in due course.
We are genuinely sorry that our journey has come to an end, but we did not want to continue in circumstances where we could no longer be confident of maintaining the quality and service our customers have come to expect from us.
We are extremely proud of what Eclipse Breaks has achieved over the past thirteen years. We are equally proud of our team, who have worked incredibly hard to look after our customers and deliver the standard of service that we have always wanted Eclipse to be known for.
Both Kevin & Claire would like to take this opportunity to thank the thousands of customers/suppliers who have travelled/worked with us. It has been a pleasure to build relationships with you all and we will sorely miss helping you with your holiday arrangements.
With our sincere thanks and very best wishes,
Kevin Miller & Claire Davidson
Eclipse Directors
