🎨💜 We are excited to announce Our Create and Connect fundraiser is now live! 🎨💜

This bi-weekly creative wellbeing program for people with memory changes, dementia and their carers. Sessions take place on a Friday, at Overton House, a state of the art community venue, and the headquarters of Barnwood Trust.

Sessions invite participants to explore different creative techniques and materials, create artwork and form lasting connections.

Every donation will make a difference. 🌟

Has your family been affected by dementia? People are living longer, dementia rates are on the rise and more families are being affected. We're about to launch a crowdfunder to raise money for Create & Connect, our program which supports people with memory changes and the people that tirelessly care for them. 🌟 Exciting opportunity to join our Volunteer Team as a Youth Creative Health Volunteer! 🌟

👉 Do you have time to support our Saturday monthly health and arts programme for young people with long-term health conditions?

👉Are you passionate about the arts and looking to make a difference or looking to gain experience in teaching?

You’ll be part of a welcoming, inclusive environment where creativity is used to promote well-being, expression, and connection. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in creative arts or teaching.

We’re looking for volunteers who can support activities such as:

🎵 Music-making – from track production to song writing, rapping, and instrumentals
🎤 Song writing and performance
🖌️ Visual arts – including animation, illustration, and photography
⏰ Ideal time commitment: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
19 Sept, 17 Oct and 21 Nov

(You'll help with setting up before and packing down after the session. The main session runs from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.)

We have a few places left for our Victorian Arts and Crafts at Matson Library! 📚🌸

Come along to make Victorian inspired arts and crafts. Design your own monogram illustration, watercolours, silhouette making, create your own fan and more. All linked to the Library Summer Reading Challenge. Enjoy a picnic out on the grass.
