Although it’s only March, spring is definitely in the air, and sitting outside has suddenly become an option. Whether you stay in the Yurt and the Cabin, or one of the Garden Houses at Broughton House, you can bask in the spring sunshine and enjoy a glass of wine, or a cup of tea, whilst listening to the birds singing their feathery socks off

My hens work hard to provide lovely freshly laid eggs for my guests to enjoy, but I can’t help think that some try harder than others! Luckily, they all taste equally delicious, but someone’s eyes might have been watering this morning!!

The Little Garden House at Broughton House is very popular with solo travellers, but - if it’s not available, or you fancy a bit more space - did you know that you can also book the Garden House for one person? If you book directly it costs £65 a night (until the end of March, when I am having to up my prices for the first time in a while - sorry!)

I know it is still August, but I am getting ahead of myself, so here is the newly created Broughton House Winter Weekend Offer:

I will be swanning off to Colombia as usual, to visit my son, leaving towards the end of November. My lovely house-sitter, Trish, will be in charge at BH. The Yurt and the Cabin will be closed, but the Garden Houses will be open for a discounted stay for a minimum of two nights (Friday and Saturday, although you can add Sunday too if you fancy a three night stay)

The price will be £70 a night (instead of £80) for the Garden House, and £45 a night (instead of £50) for the Little Garden House

This offer applies between the 29th November and the 13th January, excluding the Christmas and New Year period
