Fabulous news!

We are pleased to announce that David Guy Firewood Merchants are now officially "READY TO BURN"

Some of you may already be aware, but for those who aren’t, in order to help reduce particulate emissions the law has now changed regarding burning firewood from the 1st of May 2021.

Under the new Air Quality Regulations 2020, wood fuel now sold in volumes under 2m3 will need to be certified as Ready to Burn. This makes it much easier for customers to find wood fuels that meet new legal requirements and gives complete confidence in what they’re buying.

After an operations audit, and firewood analysis, we are pleased to inform you that we passed with flying colours and have been accredited with our new Ready to Burn certification number.

Our customers can be assured (officially!) that the wood fuel we supply is of premium quality and ready for immediate use.

With so many variations of firewood available on the market today, make sure you always check to make sure your supplier is “READY TO BURN”

Here comes the sun! And about time too! After what seems like the longest winter, we can all look forward to a bit of warmth and even plan a few days away ☀️

Again we have had the loveliest message from one of our customers, and when we are exhausted and up to our knees in sawdust, it really does make us smile, so thank you 🙏 so much!

The message reads...

“The log-piles dwindling now, and I find myself reflecting on this past winter. there were so few highlights through the long dark nights. Christmas cancelled and almost everywhere closed. Hardly any pluses, except through it all was our fire side evenings. All down to you . thanks David .... see you in the Autumn”

After an incredibly long year, new hope is on the horizon! The vaccines are here, with more on the way and plans are in place for the reopening of businesses. Spring always brings new beginnings, but this year it will mean even more to everyone.

Baby steps, one day at a time, we are all clinging to the prospect of a brighter future.
