We've had a very special guest dining at the The Mountview Hotel - a Pine Marten!

Pine Martens are one of the most elusive mammals in the UK, it is an absolute delight to have one so close and even in broad daylight.

If you're staying with us soon, don't forget to keep an eye out!

Wow, what an incredible sight! Who knew Wildcats could swim?

Last Chance to Book - 3 Places Remaining
Isles of Scilly in Autumn for Birders, Sat 10 Oct – Sat 17 Oct 2026

Join Heatherlea Guides Holly Page & Toby Green for an exciting week of birding on the Isles of Scilly, visiting St Mary’s, Bryher, Tresco, St Martin’s and St Agnes.

With shallow waters, golden sands and a climate often more akin to the Mediterranean, the Scillies are a fabulous place to be when birds are on the move.

Perfectly positioned to receive migrants heading south, as well as storm-driven vagrants from all directions, the Isles of Scilly are steeped in birding folklore and are one of the must-visit destinations for UK birders.

And the best thing? You really never know what might turn up!
