Gravesend Cold War Bunker made its screen debut in May 2010 in a film called Age of Heroes. Its various rooms and main corridor were used to represent the Cabinet War Rooms in London's Whitehall. The film starred Sean Bean and James D'Arcy and was released in June 2011!

Enjoy a guided tour with the very knowledgeable volunteers.

RSPB invite you to join a speaker from 'Wildwood' who will talk about this major reintroduction of choughs into , outlining the where, when, how and why of this project.

🛡 FREE SHIELD MAKING WORKSHOP 🔰

Milton Chantry, Fort Gardens, , DA12 2BH, TOMORROW, 12:30pm - 2:30pm.

As part of the national Heritage Open Days programme, join a FREE family craft workshop where you can create and decorate your own shield inspired by traditional heraldic designs. Discover the symbols, colours and patterns used in coat of arms throughout history, then design a unique shield to take home.

Suitable for children 5+ years. All materials provided and no booking required. Come along, get creative and explore the fascinating world of heraldry through hands-on crafting!

🎃 MEOPHAM PYO PUMPKIN PICKING 2026 🎃

📆 Open 10am to 4pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2nd to 31st October.

✅ It’s free to come onto the farm; there’s no need to book and everything you pick is charged at a price per kg.

Our PYO prices are:
🎃 Pumpkins - 75p per kg
🍎 Apples - £1.70 per kg
🍐 Pears - £1.70 per kg
🌱 Squash - £1.25 per kg

📦 Wheelbarrows, sleds and buckets available for picking. Please bring your own bags to take pumpkins, apples and pears home in!

🍔 BBQ available on Saturdays and Sundays this year! As well as White Finch tea rooms who will be open 9am until 3pm.

🐶 Dogs are more than welcome, as long as they are on a short lead, kept off of crop areas and any mess is taken home with you.

💰 We prefer contactless card payment however if this is not possible we will accept cash.

🚘 Parking on site is free, and our toilets and baby changing will be open during the PYO opening hours.
