Woodland Wildlife Trail, Shorne Woods Country Park, 10am - 4pm 🐦‍⬛ Call into the Visitor Centre to purchase your trail sheet. Follow the self-led trail, explore the woods and see what you can spot around the park. Finish your trail to receive a prize 🐸

Summer Trail, Trosley Country Park, 10am - 1:30pm 🦔 Purchase a trail from the café. Complete a word search, a scavenger hunt and find out lots of 'Did you Know' facts. Small prize at the café 🐝

Two former British Davis Cup professionals are coming to Gravesham LTC to run fun, expert-led masterclasses – open to children, adults, beginners and experienced players alike.

St Mary Magdalene Church, is situated on the highest point in the village. Cobham church features 15 magnificent brasses in the chancel. Some are more than 600 years old and are the finest medieval brasses in the world! ⛪️

Whilst in the Chancel admire the striking large Brooke Tomb, dated 1561, with effigies of Lord Cobham George Brooke and his wife, Anne Bray. The church is open daily 9:30am - 3:30pm 🪦

Please note the final guided tours of nearby Cobham Hall for 2025 take place on Sunday 19th October, 2pm - 5pm. The last tour begins at 4pm 🏡

⛪️ HISTORY AND HERITAGE 📜

Milton Chantry Heritage Centre (free) and New Tavern Fort (£1) Fort Gardens, open every Saturday and Sunday until the end of September, 12noon - 5pm 🏡

The chantry was founded in 1322 by the Earl of Pembroke. It served as a hospital, Tudor Chantry, public house and Georgian barracks. Although mainly encased in 19th century brick, the building still has its 14th century timber roof! 🏠

And bristling with heavy guns New Tavern Fort, and its magazines, is located on the south bank of the River . The fort was built in the 1780s to defend the Thames from the French and remained in use for more than a century 🌊

Retired shipwright, David Patient, author of Tilt Boats and Hatch Boats of Gravesend & The London River 1555 - 1865, will tell the story of maritime Gravesend in the days of sail. Members - free, visitors - £5 🗣
