After much though we have decided to retire from running The Lodge as a holiday let, in twenty years we have meet some wonderful guests from around the country and world and made many good friends in that time.

When you next visit The Lodge at Oxneys Farm for a break in the North Essex countryside we have a new feature in the meadow next to our quality barn conversion which sleeps 2 people in comfort, we have constructed a wildlife pond which was a bit of a challenge considering how wet the winter was.

Getting close to food production and knowing exactly where our food comes from is such an important part of spending time in the countryside. Seeing farmers at work, in all weathers, and appreciating quite how much time and effort goes into the meals we eat everyday is a privilege to see up close.
