📍Morning – Explore Great Malvern: independent shops, fountains, coffee, brilliant play area, children’s trails, local museum, events, ancient Priory and much more!

📍Lunch at Bar Limon: tapas and friendly vibes to suit everyone

📍Afternoon: Despite their formidable peaks the Malvern Hills are surprisingly accessible with many car parks high up their slopes – plenty of option for little legs

🗓️ Day 2

📍Morning – fruit picking at Clive’s Fruit Farm

📍Lunch at Café no 8 in Upton upon Severn (complete with mini golf if you fancy!)

📍Afternoon – Explore Upton upon Severn: riverside walks, boat trips, museum, town centre trail, independent shops, heritage centre

Upton upon Severn is growing in popularity as a great place for group tours

The increasing number of organised trips highlights Upton’s appeal as an attractive and accessible destination for walking groups, societies, and other organisations looking for an enjoyable day out

A typical visit can combine some of Upton’s best-known attractions and experiences, including boat trips along the River Severn, The Pepperpot (Upton’s oldest surviving building) , and the Tudor House Museum.

Great Malvern Festival of Stories for Children 2026 🌈🦄🍄🎡🎨🎪

🗓️ 19–31 October 2026

Bringing together professional storytellers, children’s authors, puppetry, theatre, creative workshops and interactive experiences, the festival celebrates the power of stories to entertain, inspire and bring families together.

Highlights include:

🎪The Boy Who Read Aloud to the Sea – a visually inventive production combining shadow theatre, storytelling and puppetry.

🎪Circus Skills Workshop – a fun, hands-on opportunity for children to learn and develop circus skills.

🎪Make A Mark Art Morning – a creative session encouraging children to explore their imagination through art.

🎪A Cup Puppets Workshop – children aged 6–13 can create their own character puppets and bring them to life.

🎪Spooky Stories with Cat Weatherill – acclaimed storyteller Cat Weatherill brings a collection of spooky tales to the festival.

🎪Far Ago! with Daniel Morden – the renowned storyteller draws on decades of experience collecting and performing traditional stories from around the world.
