How lovely is this? At California Beach, you’ll find free beach toy boxes at a number of the beach entrances, filled with buckets, spades and other bits for little ones — and big kids — to enjoy by the sea.

With this gorgeous May weather and record-breaking sunshine, it’s the perfect time for a proper Norfolk beach day. Simply borrow what you need, have fun, and return it afterwards so the next family can enjoy it too.

Just a short 20 minute walk🚶(or 5 minute drive) is the local Premier Store 🛍️and 🪴with its newly opens cafe, serving up delicious breakfast baps🥓, meaty burgers🍔, and bean to cup coffee☕️, PLUS they have a beautiful collection of animals onsite, including llamas🦙, donkeys🫏, pigs🐷, and goats🐐

A brilliant evening out at Yarmouth Stadium 🐾🌅

We recently went to the greyhound racing and had such a fun night, made even better by a gorgeous sunset over the track and a win on the very last race! You’ll see the winning moment in the video… definitely the best way to end the evening!

Yarmouth Stadium hosts greyhound racing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s a great option if you’re staying locally and fancy something a bit different during your visit.

We booked the hospitality package, which was fantastic value. We paid £17.50 per person at the time and this included admission ticket, reserved indoor table, a main course, table service for wines, beers and spirits, and Tote betting available at the table. Starters and desserts were also available to add on if you wanted to make more of a meal of it.

Alongside the greyhound racing, Yarmouth Stadium also hosts occasional motor racing events, including banger racing, stock car racing, hot rods and caravan racing/destruction derby events, so it’s worth checking their fixtures when planning your stay.

A really fun local night out, whether you’re going with friends, family, or just fancy trying your luck on a race or two!

Just had a lovely message from guests who stayed recently 📩

“Colin’s chalet felt like a ‘home from home.’ It’s renovated well with a modern touch, featuring a great kitchen, bathroom, and comfortable beds. The heating was also good when needed! We really appreciated the thoughtful extras left for a drink on arrival! Colin was a fantastic host, his communication was great, from the clear check-in instructions to the local tips. He was always available if we needed anything. The chalet is in a quieter part of the park and within a 10 minute walk of the beach. We’d highly recommend a stay here and hope to be back soon!”
