We’ve added plenty of adult only swims this season too. The only ones that won’t go ahead are 2x Friday evening ones on the 14th and 21st of August due to prior commitments with bookings 😀

🌊 Local Favourite: Gorleston Beach ☀️

If you’re staying with us and fancy a day by the sea, Gorleston Beach is well worth a visit. Just south of Great Yarmouth, it’s a beautiful, wide sandy beach that’s perfect for families, couples and four-legged friends outside of seasonal restrictions.

When you’ve had enough of the sand between your toes, there’s plenty to enjoy along the promenade, with cafés, restaurants, pubs and, of course, plenty of places serving ice cream. Whether you’re a traditional 99 with a flake person or prefer a soft scoop, you won’t be disappointed! 🍦

Two of our favourite spots are Jayjays@thebeachcafe or The Fig Bar And Grill for a beachfront lunch or afternoon cocktail.

It’s one of those places that’s easy to spend a whole day exploring with a splendid beach, good food, ice cream and fabulous sea views… what’s not to love?

Guest days out don’t get much better than this… 🚤☀️

One of our recent guests shared these lovely photos from their day boat trip on the Norfolk Broads, booked through Herbert Woods - Broads Holiday Adventures and it sounds like it was a brilliant experience from start to finish.

They said that Herbert Woods was “very easy to book online, and within 15 minutes of pulling up in the car we were in a boat sailing down the river”

A boat trip on the Broads is such a lovely way to spend a day while staying with us, peaceful waterways, beautiful views, riverside stops and plenty of fresh Norfolk air.

Another great reminder that our properties are perfectly located for exploring the coast, the Broads and everything in between.

🐾 One happy dog!

Freddie couldn’t believe it when he found out dogs eat free at Angelo's Cafe when their human companions dine in.

Just a 5 minute walk from our chalets at California Sands Holiday Park, Angelo’s is open for breakfast and lunch and is perched just metres from the beach entrance, making it the perfect stop before or after a seaside stroll.

Good food, beach views nearby, and a treat for the dog too. What more could you want? ☕🍳🌊🐶

How lovely is this? At California Beach, you’ll find free beach toy boxes at a number of the beach entrances, filled with buckets, spades and other bits for little ones — and big kids — to enjoy by the sea.

With this gorgeous May weather and record-breaking sunshine, it’s the perfect time for a proper Norfolk beach day. Simply borrow what you need, have fun, and return it afterwards so the next family can enjoy it too.

A small idea that makes beach days even better. 💙

Just a short 20 minute walk🚶(or 5 minute drive) is the local Premier Store 🛍️and 🪴with its newly opens cafe, serving up delicious breakfast baps🥓, meaty burgers🍔, and bean to cup coffee☕️, PLUS they have a beautiful collection of animals onsite, including llamas🦙, donkeys🫏, pigs🐷, and goats🐐
