Step into the past with England's hidden vintage shops.

If you love unique finds, there’s nothing quite like exploring the charm of England’s vintage shops.

You can find vintage shops in towns or tucked away in tiny villages, just like the one I’m in now—the picturesque Surrey village of Gomshall, surrounded by the stunning Surrey Hills.

This charming, independent vintage shop called The Vintage Frog is known for its carefully curated selection of antiques, retro décor and unique collectibles. From stylish vintage fashion to timeless furniture and one-of-a-kind home accessories, every item tells a story and will certainly add character to any corner of your house.

Right next to the shop is the delightful Albert's pop-up café, where you can get a coffee or enjoy a delicious cheese sandwich!

For anyone interested in antiques or with a passion for vintage shopping, I strongly recommend visiting this place.

Gomshall has a nearby train station, though trains only run once an hour. Alternatively, you could treat yourself or your partner to a private tour of the Surrey Hills and stop here to explore the shop at your own pace.

We were lucky to be part of the first public tour of 2024 at the stunning Albury Vinyeard here in the verdant Surrey Hills.

In comparison to the recent weather we were blessed with some sunshine and it felt very peaceful walking around the vineyard being stroked by the refreshing breeze ...

Did you know that besides being certified organic this vineyard also runs on biodynamic principles? It means that its very nature friendly with holistic apporach to agriculture where everything works in harmony. From star constallations and phases of the moon, every little plant, insect, birds, bees and any other little creature should be supporting each other. They even have a bug hotel...How romantic?

At the end of our walk we did some wine tasting. We tried three different wines and our winner is the Albury Estate Organic Classic Cuvee- very fresh and lively with hint of peach.

Did you know that English wines are renowned for its high quality sparlking wines?

And guess what , you will certainly find them here so hopefully see you soon at this very special place in Surrey.

The Denbies Wine Estate must be on top of romantic places to visit in Surrey, especially when the sun is shining through the vines.

The outdoor Train Tour is finishing at the end of October but the indoor Wine Tasting tour and the Food and Wine matching tour is for us to enjoy all year around.

There are delicious roses, reds and whites to chose from...

Charming traditional English pubs are on top of the list , as the right place for lunch. We have carefully selected few and the Gomashall Mill is one of them. Nicely nestled right by the river so if you want to have a little strol in the river after your lunch and cool down on a hot summer's day, you can.

Today we were lucky to visit one of the National Trust 's country house estates and grounds here in Surrey. A wonderful estate with beautiful walks all around called Hatchlands Park.

One of the most unique features you can find here is a collection of keyboard instruments linked to famous composers.

Also set in the cobbled courtyard you can find a bookshop with a wide variety of pre-loved fiction and non-fiction books.
