To end their stunning South Africa itinerary, Martin and his agents travelled to the Welgevonden Game Reserve via. a short flight to Johannesburg and a transfer. Spending two nights in two lodges, Tshwene Lodge and Tintswalo Waterberg, they were able to see an incredible amount of game while out on game drives, including close sightings of a number of the Big 5. And no safari would be complete without a classic sundowner drink!

A 36,000ha reserve, the Welgevonden is a truly excellent safari option in South Africa. Home to the Big 5 and a plethora of other game, it is a malaria-free reserve with a selection of intimate lodges, and a brilliant option to combine with a beach destination.

After a superb start in the Cape Winelands, Martin and his group of Travel Agents had a brief stop in the Overberg before a busy two days in Cape Town. They packed in the classic Cape Town activities, including a cable car ride up Table Mountain, visiting the ever-popular V&A Waterfront, a city tour, and journeyed further south along the stunning Chapmans Peak drive to see Cape Point and Boulders Beach - replete with the endangered African Penguin colony. Along with some hotel inspections to keep their knowledge fresh and some delectable meals around the city, Cape Town was as lovely as ever!
