Presentation Details:
‘In my presentation, I will focus on my journey from capturing single images, through creating collections and series, to working on short and long-term projects. I will explore how working in projects and on books as a final result helps you get out of a creative block and find your own personal vision. I will discuss several of my ongoing and completed photographic projects, how they keep me motivated and how they help me develop an individual and personal point of view. I will demonstrate how a project-based approach and looking beyond a single image can lead to developing new, exciting
ideas that can breathe fresh air into your photographic journey’.

In the middle ages, the village of Chiddingfold in Surrey had a remarkable connection to the production of stained glass. And the local church wanted to celebrate that. So, to mark the millennium this beautiful window was commissioned. You will find it in the Grade I Listed St Mary Church at the heart of the village, by the green and the pub. The window was designed by Susan Bradbury, a member of the British Society of Master Glass Painters, who has produced work for churches across England and Scotland.

The design was inspired by scripture from the Book of Revelation in the Bible: "Pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal..." The vision of a new world, spoken about in these verses, were thought to be appropriate for a new millennium.

The window catches the morning sun and is a delightful addition to the historic church. You can learn more about the window and other features at St Mary, as there are signs around the building, as well as guidebooks, which share with you the history of the church.
