Using animals from my extensive reptile collection, I provide reptile parties for children (or adults!) as well as visit schools with my reptiles for educational purposes. o work in an excellent reptile shop and breed some of my reptiles for sale occasionally. I currently have around 50 Yemen chameleon babies!! I love children and believe that it is important for them to have a positive reptile experience from a young age and I am happy to provide an enthusiastic way for them to do this.The smaller the group, the more variety of animals I am able to bring. Due to the preparation and travelling time, the animals are actually out and about for a total of around 4-5 hours (each show/party lasts around 2 hours), so it is difficult to entertain very large groups without each individuals' contact time with the animals being greatly minimised, which kinda defeats the object of the exercise in my opinion! Nothing worse than being rushed through your first exciting reptile encounter! With regard to school visits, it may be possible to tailor the visit for educational purposes to suit the area of the syllabus being taught to the children, such as desert animals or reptiles from the jungle or a specific area, or just snakes/lizards. Obviously, it will be possible to cope with the larger class group sizes due to the classroom environment being more controlled. During most days (Wed - Sun) I can be found at Surrey Water Gardens & Pet Centre, in Clandon Park, Clandon. Why not pop down to the shop and have a look at some of the reptiles we have there including our dwarf West African Crocodile and some of our large snakes? If I am not too busy, I may even let you hold some of the animals there. :)
I now provide a holiday service for chameleons in my home. I charge £5 per day plus the cost of their food. I also am able to tame most unruly lizards and can offer taming and behavioural re-training if you are unhappy with the temperament of your lizard!
