Guildford Town Guides The Voluntary Town Guides provide walking tours that show and explain the town to thousands of people each year.

The most popular walking tour is the Historical Tour of the town. This includes a brief history from the earliest times with visits to the Abbot's Hospital, St Mary's Church, the Undercroft and the Castle grounds. In addition to the Historic Walking Tour, the Guides offer other walking tours on Medieval Guildford, Hidden Guildford, The River Wey and Lewis Carroll.

Temperatures have dropped but the sun is still shining meaning many of our walks are fully booked this week. However, it is worth checking for last minute cancellations.

Calling all Young Explorers from 4-7 years old, to join us in a discovery of Alice and the Castle

Guildford Young Explorers is our newest addition to our walks and we are heading out this Wednesday 19th August at.

Come dressed-up as kings and queens, princes and princesses and embark on a royal adventure discovering Guildford Castle and the enchanting Alice Garden.

Remember to bring along a parent or grandparent to join in the fun! Just book the child on the booking form. Grownups can just come along with the youngsters!

The walk will last about an hour around the castle grounds. Since part of the journey is outdoors, don’t forget your hat—even royalty needs sun protection!
