You know what makes it incredibly fun to work in safaris? Picking up the phone to someone after they get home.
We always set aside an extra half an hour for these calls. Because we love to talk about lunch on a boat in the middle of the Zambezi, geek out over photos of a rare albino zebra, or discuss what could possibly be good enough to make the cut for the next safari?
So shout out to our pals and for sharing the magic with our travellers recently...

There's something rather special about a safari with grandparents. Children remember the big, obvious things, of course - the lion stretched out in the shade, spotting elephant poo from the vehicle, the way the sky turns molten gold at sunset. But what stays with them forever are the quieter moments: stories told around the fire, hot chocolate shared before dawn, the feeling of being wrapped in a world that’s wild and safe all at once...
With spacious, homely cottages - ideal for family gathering together after a day in the bush - and a gentle safari pace Kenya's is perfect for a multi-gen trip.

is a gentle reminder that the wild places we love are not guaranteed; they exist because people choose, again and again, to protect them. Across Africa, that protection looks like rangers walking long night patrols, communities safeguarding their forests, scientists tracking the quiet footsteps of endangered species and travellers choosing experiences that give back more than they take.

"Gabriel is a world class guide with an uncanny ability to spot dots on the horizon and identify them as a hippo on the move or a herd of elephants looking for better grazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. As we had the time, Gabriel showed us the value of being patient and of watching animal behavior, and we were rewarded with some amazing experiences as a result. We saw two river crossings which involved (long) periods of indecision as the Wildebeest chose where to cross the Mara River before braving the crocodiles, we saw hyenas trying to separate a buffalo and her calf from the herd and lions patiently hunting their prey and many more... Without him there would have been so many things we wouldn’t have seen or experienced." - Pier Thomas

Death, relationship breakdown, and changing leadership is leading to chimp "civil war" in Kibale. Forget photographing wildlife (we love the odd snap here, but we're never as good as the pros), watching wildlife, and particularly widlife behaviour is fascinating, and there are few animals more interesting, or more human, than chimps.

The once close-knit community of Ngogo chimpanzees have been at loggerheads for the last eight years.
