My travel insurance rule is simple, get it ASAB - as soon as you book. Yet a worrying 25% who've booked haven't got insurance yet, most leaving it to do later. That's a mistake. Do it NOW.

Half travel insurance's value is protecting you BEFORE travelling. Waiting to sort it means you're not getting full value, and are at risk. Each year, frustratingly, someone asks me for help as they can't get a holiday refund after something horrid, even a cancer diagnosis. That's what insurance is for, but leave it late & you're scuppered.

NORSE ATLANTIC ADDS LOW-COST CARIBBEAN FLIGHTS FROM GATWICK

Norse Atlantic Airways has added new Caribbean routes from Gatwick to Barbados, Kingston and Montego Bay launching from late October for the winter season

The low-cost carrier, which is set to operate seven US routes this summer, will begin daily flights to Barbados from 29 October, with fares starting from £449 return and Montego Bay launching on the same day, leading in from £559 with a four-times-weekly service.

Meanwhile, flights to Jamaica’s capital Kingston will commence on 31 October with fares starting from £579 return.

Norse operates 787 Dreamliner aircraft with an economy and premium cabin and Light, Classic and Plus fare choices.
