Despite the very hot summer, the front garden still looks very green.

Thank you to our recent guests from Kent for leaving such lovely comments in the Visitors’ Book:

We had the most wonderful stay in your lovely house, which was just the perfect size for the seven of us, plus our pup!
Several lovely days out, including a few trips to Southwold to the beach and fish & chips, and the amazing Queens Head pub in Bramfield (highly recommend)!
Gorgeous cottage and beautiful area, would absolutely stay again!

There are always maintenance jobs to be done at the cottage and some are definitely easier when the sun is shining.
Over the past few days we have repainted the garden furniture in the front garden, sanded and varnished the kitchen table, cleaned the carpets and had a really good tidy up
of the back yard! 😮‍💨
Of course we always like to make sure that we are well stocked with guest essentials such as tea/coffee, hand soap and toilet rolls.
After all that work it was definitely time for a beach trip to enjoy the gorgeous weather.

The forecast rain did not materialise today, so it was a fabulous day for a walk. Only 15 mins in the car takes you from Halesworth Suffolk Cottage to beautiful Walberswick and from there we embarked on an 8 mile walk through varying terrain. The local wildlife was happy to say ‘hello’, including a cygnet taking a ride on Mum’s back. 🥰

Halesworth is getting ready for the annual spring Ink Festival next weekend, with venues at many diverse local settings, including the Angel pub and scout hut.
The town and surrounding areas are looking beautiful at the moment so it’s a perfect time to follow the Ho**er Trail. Ho**er was an amateur naturalist and collector and you can find details of the Trail in the Town Park or in the leaflet in our visitor information.
