We've added two extra ascents of Wainhouse Tower tomorrow (20th August) at 1pm and 2pm, as the 11am ascent is sold out and there are only 5 places left on the 10am ascent. Please book your tickets ASAP as sales will close at 7pm tonight: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/visit-calderdale-29603793049

Tickets for ascents on Bank Holiday Monday August 25th are also selling fast. Both the 10am and 11am ascents are sold out, so please book your tickets for the 1pm, 2pm or 3pm ascents quickly if you'd like to visit that day.

To help mark Wainhouse Tower’s sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary this year, Wainhouse Tower is open for two ascents this Wednesday 20th August (John Edward Wainhouse’s birthday). The 11am ascent is sold out, but there are still places left on the10am ascent!

You can also now enjoy two new displays marking Wainhouse Tower’s 150th anniversary at Halifax Central Library, featuring a model of Wainhouse Tower, 3D printed Dragon, Victorian theodolite, stone mason’s tools, a look at the feud between John Edward Wainhouse and Sir Henry Edwards and more!

This year Calderdale Pride is taking place at the historic mills of Dean Clough, a 20 minute walk from Halifax train station.

But if you don't want to walk... Don't miss out on the Calderdale Pride shuttle service courtesy of First Bus! 🚌🙌🏼 This amazing service has kindly been donated by First Bus to help keep attendees flowing to and from this free event 🥳

The shuttle service will operate every 20 minutes from 11am - 8pm (with a driver break between between 3pm and 4pm) from the bottom of Horton Street (Opposite Halifax Train Station) to Dean Clough and back 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

The tallest folly in the world is open for ascents this Saturday August 16th! Climb the 369 steps of Wainhouse Tower to experience the fabulous views!

Treat yourself to a souvenir with one of our ascent certificates, costing only £1. When you book your tickets on Eventbrite you have the option to book your ticket with or without a certificate. Certificates will also be available for sale at the Tower on the day.
