‼️ URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT – FRIGHTMARE TRAIL CANCELLED ‼️

As you may be aware, the weather forecast for this weekend is looking increasingly severe, with strong winds and heavy rain expected from tomorrow through to Saturday night.

Today, we have been in contact with various agencies, including Leeds City Council, to assess whether the Frightmare Trail could go ahead safely. With sustained winds forecast to exceed 45mph, gusts of over 55mph and heavy rain expected throughout the event, we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL this year’s Frightmare Trail! 😔

Please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly. The Leeds Scare Trails is entirely volunteer-run, with all proceeds supporting local charities and good causes. The Frightmare Trail is a huge part of the event, and after six months of planning, we are absolutely gutted that we cannot go ahead as planned.

However, the safety of our visitors and volunteers must always come first. Given the forecast conditions, we simply cannot guarantee that the event can be delivered safely, and we hope you understand why we have had to make this decision.

If you have already ordered tickets, you should have received an email this evening explaining what will happen to your tickets now.

Finally, we would like to thank you for your understanding and support. We know how much people look forward to the Frightmare Trail, and we are genuinely sorry to disappoint you. As a volunteer-run community event, your support means a great deal to us, and we hope to welcome you back next year. ❤️

We look forward to welcoming you to Golden Acre Park on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, from 10am to 4pm, for our family-friendly Halloween trail.

Free Family Halloween Outing Alert! 🎃🍁

The Leeds Scare Trails Pumpkin Trail returns to Golden Acre Park in Bramhope for a full weekend of seasonal magic!

Bundle up and take a wander around the park paths to spot over 200 carved pumpkins, play interactive games, and explore local charity stalls. It's completely free to enter, family-friendly, and main routes are pushchair and wheelchair accessible—making it a perfect daytime stroll for all ages. SMall charges for some games and activities - all for charitable causes.
