What better way to start the season than a win!💪🏏

Last night our Scorchers hosted a friendly to Sowerby Bridge CC and won by 19 runs.🔥

The first innings had some great fielding and bowling. A massive shoutout to Hannah Gaukroger who took 2 wickets in one over! Another shoutout to Holly Clarke and Sarah Gaukroger for their great catches. After 20 overs, Sowerby Bridge scored 290 runs.

The second innings continued with some excellent batting. A massive shoutout to Pia Rattigan who scored the highest score with 22 runs, followed by Hannah Gaukroger on 21 runs! After 20 overs, Sowerby St Peter’s scored 309 runs.

🤩A massive well done to all players with great cricket from both teams.
