Cant believe 5 years have now passed since Jim 'Jad' O'Donnell tragically passed away on Christmas Eve.
As ever, always thinking of his family & friends at this time of year.

Fair winds & rest easy Skipper.

And that's a wrap!! πŸ‘πŸ» πŸŽ‰

That's season 2025 over with now on completion of yesterday's trip, and as you can see from these images from our skipper Darren, it was a cracking day for the last trip of the season!

And it's also 'a wrap' for us here at Sea Harris, as with the season now over we can officially step away from the St.Kilda day trips. As I'm sure many of you are already aware, we sold Enchanted Isle to Uist Sea Tours half way through the season and they then continued with our trip commitments for the remainder of the season. And going forward they will now take over the St.Kilda day trip themselves for season 2026 and we won't be running them at all.

It has been a very hard decision to step away after 18 successful seasons of St.Kilda trips, but it is the right time for us as a family and allow a younger family to take over the St.Kilda trips and we wish Uist Sea Tours many successful seasons with Enchanted Isle!

We wouldn't have got this far without our many, many passengers, who we can't thank enough, some of whom have come back for repeat trips and some of whom have become very good lifelong friends.
We must also thank the skippers and crew that have worked with us and put up with me over the years, some for many seasons, special mention must go to Iain Angus & Darren who have taken many of you out, and John who crewed many a season in the early days, through many a stressful situation on the first Enchanted Isle!
We also take this opportunity to remember Jim O'donnell (Jad) who skippered a couple seasons of St.Kilda trips with us, gone but not forgotten.

So what now for Sea Harris, well, I'm taking some time out to catch up with the many things that I've not had time for over the years, especially some family time!
Will we replace Enchanted Isle? Who knows, watch this space! πŸ˜†

Please feel free to share your memories of your trip with us in the comments.

Mar sin leibh agus mΓ²ran taing!

*1 space on our St.Kilda trip for Sat 7th June*

We have a late cancellation on Saturdays St.Kilda trip due to the Sound of Harris ferry being tied up and out of service, apparently it's trying to revive the old nickname of the Calmac Clyde ferries, which were known as 'Streakers'.

If this is of interest then please visit https://seaharris.com/booking and select the 'One Day Window' to show Saturdays trip.

After a long unscheduled 7 months ashore in Stornoway, it was great to be back in the water and back home to Tarbert.
Not for long though and next stop Ireland! 11 years after being built there, it's back to Redbay Boats for a scheduled engine replacement and other planned maintenance, so everything will be 'tip top' and ready for another season starting from 28th April, fingers crossed for some better weather than 2024! 🀞🏻
Cheers to Carolanne at IsIsle of Harris Marina for the photo! πŸ‘πŸ»
