Captivating email exchange from a lovely gentleman whose Great Grandfather was Mr John Stewart, Lord Leverhulme's head gardener here at Borve, until 1925. Apparently he was held in very high regard by Lord Leverhulme. Mr Stewart then went on to work at Arisaig House, near Mallaig📍

Always good to remember old staff and keep their memories alive. It's thought he built the walled garden here at the Lodge. Would be interesting to speak with him and find out all those happy memories & stories he had from long ago.
