On Sunday we helped a motorcyclist who’s bike had broken down what a lovely young man unfortunately the AA let him down dreadfully and he ended up stuck with us for over 5 hours and his motorcycle wasn’t repairable on site so my hubby jumped to the rescue and took him into Harrogate and we stored his motorcycle till it could be recovered today 😊 he came bringing a thank you card and a bag of Italian goodies totally unexpected ♥️

Today I’m feeling very upset indeed by two people that booked our property for two nights they blatantly ignored all our policies we have in place 😡😢 bringing two dogs ( we only allow one small to medium dog by prior arrangement ) and two infants our cottage states it doesn’t accommodate or accept any person under the age of 18. When i challenged the couple on the above they blatantly lied saying they hadn’t seen either of our comments regarding children or dogs accusing us of being intoxicated ( we hadn’t had a drink at all ) and being abusive neither of these accusations were true. On entering the property on their departure the dogs had been allowed on the sofa and chairs and dirty paw prints were on the quilt cover our cleaners had to spend a further 1hour 45 minutes doing a deep clean. We have always taken such pride in our beautiful cottage and have loved sharing with our guests over the past 3 years having nothing but rave reviews, but it’s these one off rare occasions that make you question if it really is worth the effort. I’m hoping we can put this horrifying experience behind us and continue to welcome wonderful respectful individuals in the future ♥️
